How we calculate
- Genset consumption
- Consumption model: 0.08 l/h per kW of rating plus 0.25 l per kWh generated. Rating is the installed genset; the hybrid uses the same genset.
- Hybrid
- The genset runs only to charge and carry the load at 80 % of rating, then stops. Storage AC-AC round-trip efficiency is 89 %. Storage is sized for 4 hours of average load at 90 % depth of discharge.
- Solar
- Daily yield per 1 kW of panels, annual average: north 2.5 kWh, central 3.2 kWh, south 4.5 kWh.
- CO2
- 2.68 kg per liter of diesel fuel.
- Not included
- Cost of storage and its installation, genset overhaul, discounting. Payback is calculated in the commercial proposal.
