Total cost of ownership over the period, index
Preliminary. Assumptions are being verified by our engineers and finance team; for your sites we calculate based on actual data.
How we calculate
- Kit
- Lead-acid: 50 % depth of discharge, 40 % of capacity available in frost. LFP and NFPP: 90 % depth of discharge, NFPP with a 15 % margin in frost. The number of 48 V / 100 Ah modules is rounded up.
- Lead-acid service life
- Heated equipment room - 5 years, frost - 3 years, heat - 2 years; with frequent cycling - by a cycle life of 500 cycles.
- LFP and NFPP service life
- LFP - 12 years, 7 years in heat; cycle life 6,000 cycles. NFPP - 15 years, 12 years in heat; cycle life 8,000 cycles.
- Climate
- Frost: compartment heating for lead-acid and LFP about 900 kWh per year, NFPP without heating. Heat: cooling about 1,500 kWh per year for lead-acid, 80 % of that for LFP, 30 % for NFPP.
- Theft
- Share of sites with a kit stolen per year: lead-acid 0.5 / 3 / 8 %, lithium and sodium with lock 0.5 / 0.5 / 1 % by risk level.
- Module cost
- Estimated in proportion to the entered lead-acid battery price using the market ratio of cost per kilowatt-hour. Discounting and exchange rates are not taken into account.
